About the LORI Grant Program

Institute of Museum and Library Services
Institute of Museums and Library Services

LORI Grants are offered by the Office of Library and Information Services as subgrants funded through its federal Institute of Museum and Library Services grant under the Grants to States Program supported by the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).

The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is the primary source of federal support for the nation's libraries and museums. IMLS advances, supports, and empowers America’s museums, libraries, and related organizations through grantmaking, research, and policy development. The IMLS vision is a nation where museums and libraries work together to transform the lives of individuals and communities. To learn more, visit www.imls.gov and follow IMLS on Facebook.

2020 Library Of Rhode Island Learning Grants

The LORI Learning Grant Program provides opportunities for Rhode Island libraries to apply for smaller LORI Grants to work on innovative, forward-looking projects for youth learning that can be replicated in other libraries. Specifically, grants must support learning opportunities in libraries for youth ages 5-18. LORI Learning Grants must meet the priorities of the 2018-2022 OLIS Five Year State Plan for the expenditure of LSTA funds. LORI Grants are offered as subgrants of the OLIS Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant and are offered to support the overall purposes of LSTA.

The LORI Grant Program, an LSTA subgrant program, is funded through the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services under its Grants to States Program supported by the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
