Nicolette Baffoni

Biography

Nicolette is the Program Manager for Library Development, overseeing services to public libraries and coordinating OLIS' federal Library and Services Technology Act (LSTA) grant activities. Previously she served as the Adult Services Coordinator and the Learning and Community Engagement Coordinator. In these roles, she focused on services supporting workforce development, adult education, adult services, and continuing education. Prior to joining OLIS in 2017, Nicolette served as a school library media specialist in the Burrillville, (RI) School Department, where she she helped to develop and deliver technology training for teachers in support of the district's technology initiatives. She has also held positions at public and academic libraries. From 2016-2018, she served as a Fuse Fellow through the Highlander Institute to support and guide blended learning initiatives focusing on the use of technology to promote equitable and personalized learning. Nicolette earned a bachelor's degree in English from Brown University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island.
