The Office of Library and Information Services collects and analyzes financial, service and staffing data from Rhode Island public libraries on an annual basis through the Public Library Annual Survey. The survey is administered using the Counting Opinions LibPAS online survey tool. The Public Library Annual Survey also serves as the certification and application process for State Aid to Libraries, often referred to as Grant-in-Aid. Public libraries applying for State Aid to Libraries must submit the Public Library Annual Survey each year.
The FY2018 survey opened July 16, 2018 and closes September 14, 2018. The reporting period for the FY2018 survey is July, 1 2017 through June 30, 2018. To enter data login to the survey portal.
