The Office of Library and Information Services supports and promotes library services to young adults with consultant and reference services, the resources of its Professional Collection, and by planning and coordinating monthly Young Adult Round Table (YART) meetings at libraries throughout the State.

Professional Collection

The Professional Collection is an up-to-date resource for all types of material relating to YA services. Books and videos are cataloged and, like all Professional Collection books and videos, can be located by searching the OSL automated system. Other materials include the major journals relating to YA services and extensive vertical file materials which may be photocopied at no charge.

Young Adult Round Table

The Young Adult Round Table is a monthly meeting of librarians and library school students concerned with all aspects of library service to young adults. Generally each meeting consists of a discussion of YA publications and resources (print and nonprint) on a designated topic. But meetings also can focus on innovative programs and services and/or feature presentations by outside speakers or YART members. Click here for the YART Meeting Schedule .
