Warwick Public Library
Speaker(s): Office of Innovation, Office of Library & Information Services
The Office of Innovation and Office of Library and Information Services will host a Next Generation Library Workshop to help library teams reimagine how their library delivers services as part of the StudioRhode Challenge. While staff from any library are welcome to attend, those interested in attending the workshop are strongly encouraged to review and draft Stage One of the application prior to the workshop. For potential applicants, the workshop is an opportunity to gather feedback on early-stage ideas and proposals from leaders of the Office of Innovation and the Office of Library and Information Services. For others, the workshop will offer exposure to new tools, strategies, and materials to engage in rapid prototyping, collaborative design, crowdsourcing, ideation, user experience design, and community storytelling.

The Next Generation Library Challenge is open to all public libraries in Rhode Island that are eligible for state aid to libraries. The workshop is open to staff from all types of libraries, as all libraries may benefit from the content of the workshop; you do not have to apply for the Challenge in order to attend the workshop.
Intended Audience: Library Staff.
