Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services won a $100 cash prize from the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association. OLIS is among ten library organizations nationwide to receive a prize for its use of the Kids! @ Your library® campaign materials. Last year, Melody Allen (retired Children’s Service Librarian) used the English and Spanish print PSAs from the campaign tool kit in newspaper promotion of the Summer Reading Program.

The award will be used to offset costs of the preparation of illustrations with Spanish and English titles for the RI Getting Ready for Kindergarten calendar online resource center.
