[April 13, 2009] The Office of Library and Information Services is pleased to announce that Alicia Waters has been appointed to fill the position of librarian in the OLIS Library as of April 13, 2009.  Alicia has been working at the Office of Library and Information Services since 1987, and will be familiar most recently as the voice of interlibrary delivery.  She earned her Master of Library Science from the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Library and Information Studies in 2008. 

Alicia brings a wealth of institutional knowledge to the OLIS Library and looks forward to continuing to serve the library community in her new position as the librarians’ librarian.  In addition to her new responsibilities in the library, Alicia will continue working on the LORI Delivery Team and the OLIS Web Team.  Over the next few months, there will be a transitional period while some of Alicia’s previous responsibilities are transferred to other OLIS staff members.
