We are aware that LORI personal accounts have been overwhelmed with SPAM. Despite numerous attempts to decrease it without endangering real mail, we've been unable to significantly reduce it.

So, in order to protect the ILL email (the xxxill accounts) we will be limiting the mail server to email for ILL. This will happen in late winter. We want to be sure that all LORI email users have successfully changed to another email account.

We have been recommending Yahoo mail: it does a great job of eliminating SPAM, it allows you to "POP" other email accounts, and it's free. However, another library has reported getting a lot of SPAM in their library Yahoo account. Another popular and robust free email system is Google's, gmail. Both sign-up pages are easy to find. Just enter "mail" in the search box at either site.
