Issues Discussed

1. Kathy Beaird (Barrington Public) will be resigning due to staffing issues at BPL.
2. LSTA priorities/OLIS goals were discussed at length. The priorities are used to develop the 5 year plan for each state and federal grant money is used to assist in this process. The committee also continued discussion on the issue of developing alternatives/options to the current e-mail system. The idea of developing a new system was raised, since current systems are either too expensive or need too much "tinkering" to fit our needs. A position paper will be written to explore this, including funding, over the next year.
3. The idea for an "annual conference" for all RI ILL staff was raised. It would include training sessions on different topics and some "social" time as well.
4. Donna DiMichele (OLIS) asked if the committee had a "wish list" for OLIS. Some of the items mentioned included access to many on-line databases, reliable delivery of materials, ability to track requests, and continuing education sessions.

1. Will discuss ILLIAD demonstration presented by Bart Hollingsworth at Brown.

3. Will discuss how often this committee needs to meet over the course of a year.
