The LORI Network staff at OLIS strives to make the LORI Delivery Service an efficient, effective system for resource sharing. To this end, OLIS has telephone and online support for libraries that use the Delivery Service.
OLIS maintains a phone line for LORI Delivery Support. Questions and reports about Delivery service should be made to the Delivery Services voice mail at 574-9317. Report missed stops, materials left behind by a driver, less than satisfactory interactions with a driver, etc., to OLIS promptly, preferably the day the problem occurs.
Did you know that the Delivery Service budget gets a credit for missed stops that are not rescheduled? So you can actually keep more funds in the pool for Delivery if you report a missed stop!
An OLIS staff member checks the Delivery Service voice mail several times a day. Alicia Waters is the staff member handling voice mail reports. In her absence, another staff member checks the messages. Do not send e-mail to Alicia Waters or call her office phone; we do not check her e-mail or voice mail. Leave your messages at 574-9317, so OLIS can address problems in a timely manner.
Delivery Services are one of your library’s benefits as a LORI member. Delivery is paid primarily by state funds through a contract between the State of RI and the Delivery Service vendor. The oversight of the Delivery services is the responsibility of OLIS. But we need your help to keep it running smoothly! Please notify OLIS about Delivery Services problems by calling 574-9317!
Remember 574-9317 is your first stop for resolving a Delivery Service problem!
And, the OLIS website is your one stop for information about Delivery.
