Tutor.com / HomeworkHelpRI

As of December 31, there have been problems with the www.homeworkhelpri.org url. We hope to have this website up and running shortly.

Current statistics are available on the AskRI Statistics page.

Linking to EBSCO Databases, Part 2

AskRI has posted direct links to all the EBSCO databases. If you need a direct link to the AskRI databases, this is the place to go. These links will prompt users for a zip code or library card for authentication.

Links to individual EBSCO databases from OSL libraries will always prompt patrons for their library barcode, including AskRI databases (unless you've updated to AskRI links). We encourage you to update your links to individual databases to allow zip code access to AskRI databases. You can also use OSL links for access to individual OSL databases. This will enable any OSL cardholder to access OSL-funded EBSCO databases provided from your website; currently links restrict access to only the barcodes from the hosting library website. In other words, a user with a Lincoln library card would not be able to access EBSCO databases using the links on the Cranston website.

If you have have questions or would like a file of the OSL links to EBSCO databases, contact Karen Mellor (574-9304).

For more information on linking to EBSCO databases, see the November 19 update.

Launch Event: December 10, 2008

The launch event was a tremendous success, with the Governor spending nearly an hour at the library, learning how the various AskRI databases work, as demonstrated by some very capable students. All four vendors were also in attendance. Read more about the launch event.

AskRI Website: General Linking Information

The Librarians' Resource Center has a link to logos and linking information. This page contains the most current information on where and how to link to statewide databases.

This page also provides links to publicity materials and vendor websites (with additional PR and marketing information). This resource is being updated on a regular basis as we develope collateral for marketing statewide databases..

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work out the final details for these resources. AskRI will continue to evolve and change to provide users with barrier-free access to statewide resources. We ask you to continue to check this website and the Librarians' Resource Center on AskRI for current information.

If you have questions or comments about the electronic resources available at AskRI.org, please contact Karen Mellor at OLIS or Kathyellen Bullard at the Providence Public Library.
