LSTA -- Literacy Grants 2006

Summary

This program fund projects that promote adult literacy services through libraries and is rooted in LSTA priorities for funding. (LSTA priorities are outlined in the grant application packet.) Projects that benefit adult literacy learners through the public library in partnership with the literacy community are strongly encouraged and will be given highest priority. High priority is given to collaborative projects involving more than one library and to new and innovative projects that can be used as models for other libraries.

Available Funds: $75,000
Amount of Awards: Any amount up to $75,000
Eligible Applicants: Rhode Island free local public libraries currently meeting State Grant-In-Aid Maintenance of Effort requirements and Minimum Standards for Rhode Island Public Libraries.
Project Period: October 1, 2006 - September 30, 2007
Deadline for submission: July 15, 2006
