An empty lot sits to the north of the library. Below, the parking lot remains, and the Bristol Harbor condominiums on Thames Street are visible in the background.

North side of library
The empty hole that was once the Bristol Furniture Company now awaits construction of the library addition. The addition will be joined to the existing library and the new Hope Street entrance will be located in the connector between the two buildings. The brownstone walls will be preserved, and the windows on the right will be expanded to serve as the passage between the two spaces. The current library entrance onto Hope Street is visible in the top left of the picture.
